Freshnip believes that:

1. You own your personal information. By registering, you entered your personal information with us, and you can choose how you’d like your information to be shared to other members.
2. You can access what other people on Freshnip want to share with you. We want to make it easy for you to know pieces of information your friends would like to share with you.
3. Your privacy is important. We won’t sell your data to third parties, and we won’t initiate communication with you unless you explicitly allowed us.
4. We receive your technical data. Freshnip automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookies, and the pages you view. We use this on an aggregate basis only.

Service-related Announcements

Freshnip will send you a welcome/confirmation email when you sign up for Freshnip's services. Receipt of this email is required for using Freshnip's services. Freshnip will send you service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. These communications are not promotional in nature, and can not be opted out from.

Administrative Messages

Freshnip may periodically email you with administrative messages. Freshnip will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit opt-in. Your information may be combined with information Freshnip collects from other companies and used to improve and personalize services, content and advertising. If you don't wish to receive these messages, simply opt-out by updating your profile online.

Newsletter Emails

Freshnip offers subscriptions to email newsletters. This question is asked during registration, but you may change your subscription or unsubscribe at anytime by following the instructions contained in the email.

Choice/opt-out

If you no longer wish to receive administrative messages, you may opt-out by updating your profile online. Please note that if you do not wish to receive administrative messages from us, those notices will still govern your use of the Freshnip website and service, and you are responsible for reviewing such notices for changes.

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to use Freshnip products or services that require you to "sign in," and you may not be able to take full advantage of the Freshnip service. Freshnip uses its own cookies for a number of purposes, including to: Access your information when you "sign in"; keep track of preferences you specify while you are using Freshnip's services; display the most appropriate advertising banners, based on your interests and activity on Freshnip; estimate and report Freshnip's total audience size and traffic; conduct research to improve Freshnip's content and services. Freshnip cookies do not collect personal information, and Freshnip does not combine information collected through cookies with other personal information to tell us who you are or what your username or email address is.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

When you post a message, your Freshnip ID or alias is visible to other users. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Freshnip may share aggregated demographic information with business partners.

Freshnip is affiliated with a variety of businesses and works closely with them. These businesses may operate stores on the Freshnip website or sell items to you from the Freshnip website. Freshnip may also provide services or sell products jointly with affiliated businesses. Due to the nature of Freshnip's business model, when an affiliated business is associated with your transaction, you will share customer information that is related to such transaction with that affiliated business.

Freshnip will not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with nonaffiliated parties except as specified in this Privacy Policy to provide products or services you have requested or when Freshnip has your permission. In the event that Freshnip is acquired, customer information is typically one of the business assets transferred. Freshnip will transfer information about you if Freshnip is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Freshnip will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the Freshnip web site before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

As part of the buying and selling process, you may obtain another Freshnip user's email address, shipping address and/or other information. Pursuant to Freshnip's Terms of Use, you have a limited license to use this information. This information should only be used for Freshnip-related communications or for Freshnip-facilitated transactions. Freshnip has not granted you a license to use the information for unsolicited commercial messages. Without express consent from the user, you are not licensed to add any Freshnip user to your email or physical mail list.

Editing and Deleting Account Information

You can change your Freshnip Account Information (except your username), at any time. Freshnip may send you certain communications relating to the Freshnip service, such as service-related announcements and administrative messages that are considered part of your Freshnip account. You can delete your Freshnip account by emailing support@freshnip.com.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. Your Freshnip account information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to work to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by signing off once you have finished using a shared computer.
