Why do I have to upload my items again (if I uploaded them on Multiply)?

Items in Freshnip are more than pictures with simple captions. Posting an item in Freshnip allows you to add important details such as price, quantity, and the gender it is intended for. This not only helps buyers find the right products by allowing them to easily search through all items, but also spares you from having to repeatedly answer redundant questions about the product. For example, you will no longer have to answer questions like "do you still have item x in stock?".

Can I share items I post in Freshnip somewhere else?

We are currently working on a way to embed items you post in Freshnip in other social network sites.

How many items can I post?

At the moment, you can only post 25 items with up to 5 pictures each due to hosting concerns. We suggest you start with your 10 best items. We may increase the limit in the near future.

If you have items that differ only in color or size, we suggest you list them under one item and specify the colors and sizes that they are available in as part of the item description. This has the added benefit of letting users like only one item and consequently raises the chances of your product appearing at the top of the "hip" item list.

What are collections?

Collections are groupings of similar items. They appear as subsections of your online store when a user visits your shop page.

Why can't I upload pictures larger than 100kb?

Due to space and server constraints, we need to limit the size of pictures uploaded.

Images taken directly from digital cameras are not suitable for online stores. As with other online stores, good photos should be optimized for viewing by potential buyers. Try cropping the image to focus on your item, or resizing it to make the image viewable in a normal screen. Buyers won't necessarily want to view a 2MB photo of your product, smaller images load faster and are better suited for normal viewing.

When choosing a file format to save the picture in, we suggest using JPEG images instead of PNG images to save space with minimal loss of quality.

The default photo uploader isn't working. What do I do?

The default photo uploader requires the use of Flash 9 or higher. In some rare cases, your system may not allow Flash to upload your photos. If that happens, click on the classic uploader link and upload photos the old fashioned way.

Why can't I review my own product?

Reviews are meant as reviews for your products and not conversations between you and potential buyers. If you must talk to another user, send him/her a message. Messages are organized by thread and are easier to manage than wall posts.

Where can I put the link to my order form?

You don't need a separate order form. A user can order an item through the item page. Clicking on the "buy item" link will open up a dialog asking for the quantity of the item to be purchased.

The buyer's contact details will be automatically sent to you, together with the item name and quantity. You can keep track of all orders through the leads section in your dashboard. It will additionally be e-mailed to the e-mail address you specified upon registration.

If you need more information than user contact details, shipping address, payment method and item details, please let us know.
